Today, the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) indicated that Americans should prepare for potential changes to daily life if the coronavirus begin to spread locally in the United States. The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services has already been preparing for a possible outbreak and new protocols are in place at area hospitals. So far, the department has tested five people suspected of having coronavirus and all tests were negative.

Detroit is one of 11 airports in the United States designated to receive flights from China. As of yesterday, no travelers have been quarantined. Lakes Urgent Care will continue to monitor and report on conditions in our community.
