Haidar Al-Saadi, D.O.
Medical Director
Haidar Al-Saadi is the Medical Director at Lakes Urgent Care and is also an emergency medical physician at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills. He oversees and trains our emergency medicine trained providers and our Lakes Urgent Care medical team. He has a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan-Dearborn and graduated from Michigan State University’s College of Osteopathic Medicine. He now specializes in Emergency Medicine at Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills. His training has prepared him to evaluate and treat a variety of illnesses.
“I have been working at Lakes since 2012,” said Al-Saadi, “and have enjoyed every minute of helping this community!”
Lawrence M. Dell, M.D.
Dr. Lawrence Dell’s experience includes 25 years of urgent care work. He is the Medical Director of Wayne County Employees’ Retirement System. He is the Owner/Director of Internal Medicine & Primary Care Specialists where he teaches medical residents and students.
“Lakes Urgent Care is open almost 100 hours every week,” said Dr. Dell. “We provide our patients with a state-of-the-art medical facility and compassionate and caring physicians and staff. In addition to following up with a patient’s primary care doctor, we often call our patients to follow up on the treatment we provided along with any updates on their test results.”
Dr. Dell attended the University of Michigan for both his honors undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and dual degree in Human Nutrition. He completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan and his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois.
Since joining and starting a group practice, Dr. Dell has participated in various aspects of medicine including Medical Director of two local nursing homes, Medical Director of two Hospice Organizations (Karmanos and Visiting Nurse Association). He served at MPRO as a Physician Reviewer and as a member of the Utilization Review Department at both Woodland Medical Center and Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital (HVSH). He also served on the HVSH medical executive committee as well as the morbidity and mortality committee and enjoys attending its tumor board.
Dr. Dell is a member of the Oakland County Medical Society, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the American College of Physicians, Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity, the Shriners, Masons, the University of Michigan Alumni Association and Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
Dr. Dell was born in Windsor, Ontario and moved to the Detroit area at age ten. He graduated from Southfield High School as a Blue Jay earning letters in tennis and was the National Honors Society president.
Dr. Dell is married and has three children and two dogs. Together they enjoy winter sports, travel, photography, Broadway Theater and music. Dr. Dell plays team softball and Whirlyball. He likes to golf and is an avid reader. Dr. Dell has recently embraced a vegan lifestyle. He is most proud of his ability to listen.
Loren Chudler, D.O.
Loren Chudler, D.O., is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Chudler earned a BA in Chemistry from Michigan State University in 1991 and received his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. Dr. Chudler has over 20 years’ experience working in the field of urgent care and family medicine. He is a clinical faculty member at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Chudler grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan and enjoys traveling adventures, coaching football and wrestling, and spending time with his family.
Dean Burklund, M.S., PA‑C
Dean Burklund, M.S., PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant and has been on staff at Lakes Urgent Care since 2011. He received his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2006 from Wayne State University and received his Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences from Michigan State University in 1989. He is a current member of the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Michigan Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA). Dean has a special interest in preventative care and urgent care medicine.
Kristen Krueger, M.S., PA‑C
Kristen Krueger, M.S., PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant and has been on staff at Lakes Urgent Care since 2006. “I enjoy working at Lakes Urgent Care because with every patient, we try to provide the best possible medical care in a very friendly and resourceful environment,” said Kristen. She received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2004 from Wayne State University and received her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences in 2002. She is a current member of the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Michigan Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA). Kristen has a special interest in preventative care and women’s health care. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys reading novels, watching movies and most of all, spending time with her husband and young son.
Eric M. Rosenbaum, D.O.
Eric M. Rosenbaum, D.O. is an Internal Medicine Physician who started working with Lakes Urgent Care in 2009 as a medical assistant prior to attending medical school. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemical Engineering and Psychology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and then earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Rosenbaum continued his training as Resident of Internal Medicine at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Rosenbaum joined Lakes Urgent Care and Internal Medicine & Primary Care Specialists, while also caring for patients at several metro Detroit area hospitals and nursing homes.
In his free time, Dr. Rosenbaum enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, brewing beer, snowboarding, and playing guitar.
Maria Holzer
Administrative Assistant
Maria has been a part of LUC administrative staff since 2005. Maria holds a degree from Walsh College of Business and currently serves as the associate office manager for the practice. Maria loves being a part of the Lakes Urgent Care team and takes great pride in providing our community with efficient, knowledgeable, warm and friendly healthcare.
In her free time, Maria enjoys spending special moments with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoys classical music and traveling.
Chelle Wood
Lead Clinical Medical Assistant – Livonia
Chelle served as a medical assistant at Lakes Urgent Care
from 2004-18 and we were thrilled when she re-joined us in 2020 as
Lead Clinical Medical Assistant-Livonia. Chelle is a licensed practical nurse,
currently completing her coursework at Schoolcraft College for State of Michigan R.N. certification. “Nursing is my passion,” said Wood. “I’m happy to be back and participating as part of the team. It’s my pleasure to bring a positive outlook to someone’s day, even when sometimes their day may not be so positive. It is very rewarding to be able to help a patient in need.”
Kassie Mitera
Lead Clerical Assistant – Livonia
Kassie Mitera has been on staff at Lakes Urgent care since 2015 and has been the lead receptionist in the Livonia location since 2018. Kassie has a degree in health information and coding and would like to go back to school to pursue a career as a radiology tech. Kassie is a huge fan of the Detroit Red Wings and likes to spend time in Florida.
