Sanford J. Vieder, D.O., FACOEP
Dr. Sanford J. Vieder, D.O., FACOEP is board certified in Emergency Medicine and Urgent Care Medicine and a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians.
He is medical director and co-owner of Lakes Urgent Care with two locations in West Bloomfield and Livonia. Since 2008, he has served as Chairman and Medical Director at Beaumont Hospital’s Emergency Trauma Center in Farmington Hills (a regional Level 2 Verified Trauma Center by the American College of Surgeons). Prior to 2008, Dr. Vieder served as the residency program director for the Emergency Medicine Residency at Botsford Hospital.
Dr. Vieder has had over 27 years of experience with the EMS/911 system and serves on the Medical Control Authority for both Oakland and Wayne Counties. He also serves as the medical director for multiple local police and fire departments including Farmington Hills.
In 2007 he received the Maimonides Award for his outstanding leadership and support of the Health Professions Division of the State of Israel. He was named an HOUR Detroit Top Doc for Emergency Medicine for the 8th consecutive year in 2018.

Dr. Vieder attended Michigan State University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating in 1988. He completed a 4-year residency specializing in Emergency Medicine through Michigan State University and Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills, Michigan and is currently board certified in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Vieder is active in physician training and education, serving as a clinical professor of medicine for Michigan State University
When not working, Dr. Vieder enjoys spending time with his wife Carol, their children Brandon, Meryl, Alex, and Nikolas, and their Siberian Huskies Koko and Luna.
Lawrence M. Dell, M.D.
Dr. Lawrence Dell’s experience includes 25 years of urgent care work. He is the Medical Director of Wayne County Employees’ Retirement System. He is the Owner/Director of Internal Medicine & Primary Care Specialists where he teaches medical residents and students.
“Lakes Urgent Care is open almost 100 hours every week,” said Dr. Dell. “We provide our patients with a state-of-the-art medical facility and compassionate and caring physicians and staff. In addition to following up with a patient’s primary care doctor, we often call our patients to follow up on the treatment we provided along with any updates on their test results.”
Dr. Dell attended the University of Michigan for both his honors undergraduate degree in Cellular and Molecular Biology and dual degree in Human Nutrition. He completed his medical degree at the University of Michigan and his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Illinois.
Since joining and starting a group practice, Dr. Dell has participated in various aspects of medicine including Medical Director of two local nursing homes, Medical Director of two Hospice Organizations (Karmanos and Visiting Nurse Association). He served at MPRO as a Physician Reviewer and as a member of the Utilization Review Department at both Woodland Medical Center and Huron Valley-Sinai Hospital (HVSH). He also served on the HVSH medical executive committee as well as the morbidity and mortality committee and enjoys attending its tumor board.
Dr. Dell is a member of the Oakland County Medical Society, the Michigan State Medical Society, and the American College of Physicians, Phi Delta Epsilon International Medical Fraternity, the Shriners, Masons, the University of Michigan Alumni Association and Congregation Shaarey Zedek.
Dr. Dell was born in Windsor, Ontario and moved to the Detroit area at age ten. He graduated from Southfield High School as a Blue Jay earning letters in tennis and was the National Honors Society president.
Dr. Dell is married and has three children and two dogs. Together they enjoy winter sports, travel, photography, Broadway Theater and music. Dr. Dell plays team softball and Whirlyball. He likes to golf and is an avid reader. Dr. Dell has recently embraced a vegan lifestyle. He is most proud of his ability to listen.
Haidar Al-Saadi, D.O.
Medical Director, Lakes Urgent Care Livonia
Haidar Al-Saadi is the Medical Director at Lakes Urgent Care Livonia. He oversees the Providers’ and Staff training. He has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Michigan-Dearborn. After being the lab manager at an Environmental Lab in Novi, he decided to go to medical school in Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. After graduating, he went into the field of Emergency Medicine at Botsford Hospital in Farmington Hills. His training has prepared him to evaluate and treat a variety of illnesses.
“I have been working at Lakes since 2012,” said Al-Saadi, “and have enjoyed every minute of helping this community!”
Adam Vieder, D.O.
Adam Vieder, D.O. is an emergency medicine physician completing his residency at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. He attended Michigan State University earning his Bachelor of Sciences in Kinesiology. Following completion of his undergraduate work, he was employed at Lakes Urgent Care as a medical assistant while applying to medical school. Dr. Vieder attended the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine DMC campus. He is currently an associate director of clinical clerkship in the emergency department at Henry Ford Wyandotte. Dr. Vieder is a member of multiple medical organizations including the American Osteopathic Association, the American College of Emergency Physicians, and the Emergency Medicine Residents Association. In his free time, he enjoys relaxing with his wife and young son.
Dean Burklund, M.S., PA‑C
Dean Burklund, M.S., PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant and has been on staff at Lakes Urgent Care since 2011. He received his Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2006 from Wayne State University and received his Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences from Michigan State University in 1989. He is a current member of the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Michigan Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA). Dean has a special interest in preventative care and urgent care medicine.
Kristen Krueger, M.S., PA‑C
Kristen Krueger, M.S., PA-C, is a Certified Physician Assistant and has been on staff at Lakes Urgent Care since 2006. “I enjoy working at Lakes Urgent Care because with every patient, we try to provide the best possible medical care in a very friendly and resourceful environment,” said Kristen. She received her Master’s degree in Physician Assistant studies in 2004 from Wayne State University and received her Bachelors of Science in Biological Sciences in 2002. She is a current member of the American Association of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and Michigan Association of Physician Assistants (MAPA). Kristen has a special interest in preventative care and women’s health care. In her spare time, Kristen enjoys reading novels, watching movies and most of all, spending time with her husband and young son.
Loren Chudler, D.O.
Loren Chudler, D.O., is a board-certified family medicine physician. Dr. Chudler earned a BA in Chemistry from Michigan State University in 1991 and received his medical degree from the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1995. Dr. Chudler has over 20 years’ experience working in the field of urgent care and family medicine. He is a clinical faculty member at the Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Chudler grew up in West Bloomfield, Michigan and enjoys traveling adventures, coaching football and wrestling, and spending time with his family.
Issam Turk, MD
Dr. Issam Turk, MD joined the Lakes Urgent Care team in July of 2017 and is proud to serve the communities of West Bloomfield (where he grew up) and Livonia. Dr. Turk is also chief resident of Internal medicine at Saint John Providence-Providence Park hospitals, in Southfield and Novi, Michigan. He earned his Bachelor’s of Science in Biology at Wayne State University and his Medical Degree at Ross University.
Dr. Turk started is an active member of The American College of physicians, American College of Gastroenterology and American Medical Association. He has been published in several medical journals, including Journals of Rheumatology and Gastroenterology. He is actively involved in research and teaching of medical students rotating at Providence Hospital. He enjoys playing tennis, soccer, basketball and cooking.
Eric M. Rosenbaum, D.O.
Eric M. Rosenbaum, D.O. is an Internal Medicine Physician who started working with Lakes Urgent Care in 2009 as a medical assistant prior to attending medical school. He earned Bachelor of Science degrees in both Chemical Engineering and Psychology from Michigan State University in East Lansing, Michigan and then earned his medical degree from Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Greensburg, Pennsylvania. Dr. Rosenbaum continued his training as Resident of Internal Medicine at Genesys Regional Medical Center in Grand Blanc, Michigan. Upon completion of residency, Dr. Rosenbaum joined Lakes Urgent Care and Internal Medicine & Primary Care Specialists, while also caring for patients at several metro Detroit area hospitals and nursing homes.
In his free time, Dr. Rosenbaum enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, brewing beer, snowboarding, and playing guitar.
Maria has been a part of LUC administrative staff since 2005. Maria holds a degree from Walsh College of Business and currently serves as the associate office manager for the practice. Maria loves being a part of the Lakes Urgent Care team and takes great pride in providing our community with efficient, knowledgeable, warm and friendly healthcare.
In her free time, Maria enjoys spending special moments with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoys classical music and traveling.
Lead Clinical Medical Assistant
Chelle has been a medical assistant at the Lakes Urgent Care since 2004. She enjoys working at Lakes Urgent Care because she finds it very rewarding to be able to help patients in need. Chelle loves the medical field and her experience working at the Lakes Urgent Care so much that she’s currently enrolled and pursuing a degree in nursing.
Shineki has been the lead medical assistant at Lakes Urgent Care Livonia since it opened in September 2015. She is a certified medical assistant who enjoys attending to the well-being of our patients as well as educating them on how to stay healthy. “Meeting new people and recognizing our established patients is just one of the perks of working with a great staff,” says Shineki.
